On private plots, mainly on Varaždin Breg, there are cultivated areas planted with vineyards. Vineyards belong to the Vineyard Region western continental Croatia, subregion Zagorje–Međimurje, vineyards Varaždin. In the subregion, the grapevariety is very good, the leading variety is Graševina. High-quality varieties are introduced: Rhine Riesling, Chardonay, Pinot Blanc, Muscat, Sauvignon.

The wine-growing area has preserved the custom of building Zagorje cottages. The huts first developed as a storage room for auxiliary tools in the vineyard shortly after the abolition of feudalism. Over time, the rooms have taken on the characteristics of both the huts and cottages with a tool storage, a wine cellar and a rest area, and as such they remain an indispensable part of the cultivated landscape, and the weekend stay in them is still part of the lifestyle of the surrounding inhabitants.

In the municipality (Varaždin Breg) there is a centuries-old tradition of viticulture and winemaking, and the area is also related to the production of grapes from which one of the first domestic champagnes was made. Winemaking is traditionally of high quality, and the tradition is still very much alive, there are more than 70 wine-growing plots. They are produced mainly white wines, while red wines are underrepresented and are made mainly for their own use. White wines are appreciated and regularly awarded at regional exhibitions.
