Vidovec Castle

The castle was probably built in the first half of the 19th century. Century, when the property belonged to the Bužan family. Before the construction of the castle there was probably a majur and possibly a manor. Previously, Vidovec also belonged to counts Patačić, while later it became the property of Baron Jordis-Lohausen, who upgraded and remodeled the existing castle. The castle is included in the Register of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia as a protected cultural property. The park next to the castle is protected in the category of monuments of park architecture. Dozens of different tree species grow in the park, and some of them are: horse chestnut, chub, silver-leaved maple, jelly maple, pajasen, birch, catalpa, hornbeam, moose beech, red beech, juvenile linden, prickly spruce, pine, juniper, blueberry, yew and others.
